MAGWAY DIVISION – Saytottaya Township People’s Defence Organisation (PDO) announced that they captured a junta subordinate Pyu Saw Htee leader from Saytottaya Township in Minbu District but had to kill him after he tried to snatch the weapons mid way.
Saytottaya PDO went to arrest the Pyu Saw Htee leader as well as the administration officer for Nankyu Village on October 1, 9:15 p.m. and captured him together with several documents related to the terrorist junta council.
While bringing him back after the capture, a group of Pyu Saw Htee thugs tried to break him out around 3 km away from Nankyu Village. The captured Pyu Saw Htee leader then resisted and tried to snatch a gun from the PDO members and was killed in the struggle.
It is said that the now deceased junta servant had summoned the village administration officers from the prefecture to a meeting on October 2 regarding the census.
The Township PDO asked to not form Pyu Saw Htee teams, conduct or assist with the conduction of census in collaboration with the junta council in Saytottaya Township and warned that there will be consequences.
