CHIN STATE- In Tedim, the local authority and local people are repairing the wifi internet lines and hydro-power electricity supply destroyed during the battles to re-access at the end of July, reported by a head of a social organization.
“The electricity supply cables and Wifi cables were seriously destroyed by the fire and lost by the many reasons. The concerned local authorities and local people are cooperating to repair them. We hope we can regain access at the end of this month”, a head of local social organization reported to Chin World Media.
“We are trying to re-open the hospital as soon as possible. Drinking water supply is being operated regularly again. Some of restaurants and pharmacies were re-opened”, he continued.
Tedim mainly rely on the ZaLwe hydro power station for electricity supply; there are two Wifi cable in Tedim, called Hyper line and City Net. Currently the internet access is not being operated well and the local people can only use Oredoo sim card. Atom line access is not stable, MyTel and MPT line access were totally cut off, reported by the local people.
Because of the battle started on 26 May, more than 70 houses were burnt down and more than ten thousand people fled Tedim. Although it has been 2 months, about half of the local people could not come back to their home.
