MAGWAY DIVISION – PRA – Magway issued an official statement that the revolutionary forces attacked two junta security outposts on the Ann-Padan Road section in Ngaphe Township and around ten junta forces were killed. Asho Chin Defence Force (ACDF) also confirmed the attack.
At 11:03 a.m. on November 5, PRA-Magway, ACDF and Minbu District Battalion 2 simultaneously attacked two security outposts of the terrorist junta council at Bonbae intersection near Goatgyi Village and the 11th mile post on the Ann-Padan Road.
The exchange of fire during the battle lasted around half an hour and the revolutionary forces had to retreat without completely clearing the area as reinforcements arrived on the junta side and carried out a pincer attack while the junta air defense force in Natyaykan also provided support, firing heavy weapons and howitzers. It is said that ten junta forces were killed in the battle and the injured were also brought out in cars and motorcycles via the old Natyaykan Road.
The revolutionary coalition forces are working to gain control of the area to the west of the Ayeyarwaddy River and the initial step to achieve that goal is to gain control of the Ann-Padan Road, stated PRA – Magway, adding that they will work together to achieve it as the military zones increase in each region.
