SAGAING DIVISION – An official from Minkun Prefecture Fact Check Team reported that the revolutionary forces have been fighting the terrorist junta forces stationed at Myatheintan Pagoda in Minkun for five consecutive days.
The battle between the two sides began on August 13 and although there are casualties on both sides, the exact number is not known yet.
Revolutionary forces attacked those terrorist junta troops using drones, mortars and firearms and the junta forces also returned fire with small and heavy weapons.
In addition, the terrorist junta forces set fire to and destroyed two houses in Sharyaung Village and there have also been reports of civilian casualties due to the battle.
“Battle began on August 13. We heard that three were hit from the junta side but we don’t know if they died or not,” said the official from Minkun Prefecture Fact Check Team.
