KAREN STATE – The terrorist junta forces abandoned three outposts near Balaldo Village in Myawaddy Township and the revolutionary forces occupied and cleared out those outposts, said Cobra Column 2, Venom Column.
The junta forces from the outposts on the Myawaddy-Wawle Road reportedly deserted their posts to join the main junta camp at Thaybotboe and so the revolutionary forces occupied the outposts on October 20.
“They will probably go join their main camp at Thaybotboe. We occupied and swept the outposts today (October 20). We haven’t heard of any items seized from the outposts. Currently, the revolutionary forces have occupied the outposts,” said a member of the revolutionary forces.
On October 17, KNLA led forces captured the terrorist junta council’s Swetawkone Strategic Artillery Base near Laykaykaw in Myawaddy Township that had bombarded attacks on civilians and caused multiple civilian casualties.
Then on October 19, the revolutionary forces who successfully captured said junta artillery base received a festive welcome from the residents of Myittarlinmyaing, Phalugyi, Minletpan, Hteemaewahkhi, Maehtawtalay and Paheekalaw Villages in Myawaddy Township.
