TANINTHARYI DIVISION – An official from the People’s Defense Force said that they went to attack the Junta Council’s communication tower station on Autharya hill in Magyikone village, Palaw township together with joint teams and carried out drone warfare.
Bombs were dropped on the Junta Council’s Army Camp Hill by drones at least 10 times on August 17th and August 26th by the cooperation of the Shadow Squad of Myeik District and No. 1 Battalion of Palaw.
“It is an annex of Infantry Battalion (285). It can also be said to be a regimental hill. The remaining strength of the regiment is inside the regimental compound. Normally, the strength of the single communication hill is 30 or 40 for long distance guard post. The rest of the force is in the battalion,” said the person in charge of Palaw People Defense Force, regarding the situation of the military camp that was attacked.
In the bombing attack, bombs exploded inside the camp, and at least two members of the junta council were injured. He continued to say that heavy weapons were fired from the junta council’s camp towards Hmaw Kyaung, Khamoungtaw and Autharya villages, as well as fired from the IB 285.
The tower hill camp site usually fires the heavy weapons to Hmaw Kyaung, Lakku, Mya Dong, Min Htien, Khamoungtaw and Autharya villages.
