MYANMAR – An official of Taungtha Township People’s Action Committee reported that civilians’ houses have been destroyed by the firing of heavy weapons by junta army towards Dantaing Village of Taungtha Township, Mandalay division.
Without having a clash, the terrorist army fired 4 (60mm) heavy artilleries at about 10:45 a.m. on August 22, resulted damaging civilians’ houses and hit a cow.
“People were not injured. The heavy weapons fall at the surrounding area. Junta army could fire to protect the gas pipeline transporting to China,” the official said.
Similarly, the KNU headquarter said that the fascist junta army fired heavy weapons to the villages in Ledo Township of Nyaunglebin Destrict, Bago division and a school was damaged.
On August 20, the terrorist council’s battalion 264 based in Ledo Township fired a total of four 120mm weapons at 1:24 p.m., which exploded in Moekho and near Wanche villages. A school in Moekho village was hit and damaged by heavy weapon.
On August 19, the terrorist army’s battalion 264 fired two 81 mm weapons at about 8:16 p.m., and those exploded near the Kyaungkone Village.
