MANDALAY DIVISION – In Mandalay City, seven young people, including one female, were abducted by the terrorist junta forces in a week, and the junta army has placed full security around the moat and was checking people’s phones, according to residents.
Starting from the third week of September in Mandalay, the junta army deployed soldiers around the moat and checked phones, residents said.
“The junta forces abducted a delivery guy near 12th Street and 80th Street, north of the moat, while they found the chatting with his friend, comrade of People’s Defence Force (PDF), on his phone. Another girl was abducted after her phone was checked on the southern part of the moat,” said a resident.
During the third week of September, the terrorist junta forces abducted a total of seven young people in Aungmyaythazan Township, a man in his 20s in, two young men after checking guest list on the evening of September 21, two young men, while they were walking on the 63rd Street on September 22, a delivery man after checking his phone on the north of the moat, and a female employee of private sector on the southern part of the moat.
Those who were arrested this week have lost contact with each other until today, sources close to them said.
Until today (September 23), many military forces had been stationed around the Mandalay moat, and phone checks and abductions were being made in some parts of the city. The real data may be higher on the ground than the reported figure.
