Similarly, An official from the Chaung U People Defense Force – (CHUPDF) told the media that 4 soldiers were killed during a mine attack on the Monywa – Mandalay road, just outside Chaung U town.
On November 21, at 8:10 a.m., the terrorist soldiers who came out of Chaung U town in a Canta cargo truck were detonated with two landmines while they were getting off on the Monywa-Mandalay road, just outside of Chaung U town. Four soldiers were reportedly killed.
“They were the troops who usually clear mines on the road. They usually go out on the armored vehicle (one with iron plates). The armored car was left for Monywa town and thus they came out in the Canta car. It was reported that 4 soldiers died. The sequel is not yet known. The injured were taken separately to Chaung U Hospital and Monywa Hospital. The attack was just outside the Chaung U Town, so it is adjacent to their territory,” an official from the CHUPDF said.
The attack was carried out by CHU PDF Division 4, and the bodies of the four dead terrorist soldiers were carried in a (passenger) express car. It was reported that the PDF members who did the missions were safe and returned unharmed.
