MYANMAR – The special arm of the Southern Military Region’s Special Operations Force – SOF (P29999/Special Force) under the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the National Unity Government (NUG) was systematically screening and accepting new soldiers (trainees), said Comrade Aung San Shar, Commander of the Special Forces in the Southern Military Region.
Ending the military dictatorship and the emergence of a future Federal Democratic Union System is the main responsibility of all citizens. Therefore, SOF proudly welcomes young men and women who want to fight together for the end game.
For those who wish to join the Special Operations Forces (SOF),
- Must be between 18 and 35 years of age. Must be in good health and mentally strong. The decision must be clear.
- Must be able to completely attend basic military training, special operations training, and refresher training if necessary.
- Upon completion of the training, they must be able to serve anywhere in the Southern Military Region according to the assignment and grouping assigned by the unit.
- Must be able to strictly adhere to military disciplines set by the MOD and SOF rules and regulations.
- Must serve for at least two (2) years and can continue to serve for another two (2) years if required.
