MYANMAR – Yesterday, Spring Development Bank announced that over 2,400 lakhs (240,877,077 Kyats) of donations received to support the people in flooded and war-torn areas have been transferred to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management in 3 installments.
To support and donate to the people in the flooded and war-torn region, people donated 240,877,077 kyat worth of money to Spring Bank within 10 days from September 12th to 21st.
It has also been reported that additional donations received after September 21 will be collected and sent to the charity at the end of September.
“Whenever the country faces a disaster, family members of Spring Bank users from home and abroad will be proud of the collective strength of everyone who donates as much as they could in international currencies, including gold.” Spring Bank said.
In addition to this, it was also informed that the Spring Development Bank, which has a variety of currencies could be used by the people in the liberated areas and organizations raising funds and fund distribution processes for emergency humanitarian relief.
