BAGO DIVISION – Eyewitnesses reported that junta soldiers raided the 500 Bedded Hospital at Pyay Town and abducted some male caretakers to recruit as soldiers in junta army.
Two male caretakers accompanying patients were abducted at about 11:45 p.m. on September 30. One of the abductees was released as the age exceeded the age mentioned in the unjust conscription law. Another caretaker has been taken as he is under 35.
“The fascist army captured 2 male caretakers at night even inside the hospital compound. One of them was released because he was over age. The other was called up for military service because he was under 35 years old. The junta army informed his family that he is being taken for military service,” said an eyewitness.
At present, there has been continuous raids and abduction especially at night time in Pyay Township to conscript for the terrorist army. There are a large number of young people who are taken while checking the household registration list.
