SAGAING DIVISION – Locals reported that the atrocious junta army which is stationed inside Wanbao copper mining Company compound at Salingyi Township came to Moegyoepyin Village with full weapons on early morning of September 7.
About 50 junta soldiers with full weapons and ammunition came out from Wanbao company at about 8:30 a.m. on September 7 and said to have patrolled Moegyoepyin Village.
“Villagers had to run in fear when the junta thugs reached to the entrance of Moegyoepyin Village. They did not enter the village, but went out from the Monywa-Pathein road at the East of the village. After some time, the junta troops re-entered through the company’s Bunker 3 gate,” said a local.
Due to the terrorist troops, the local people had to temporarily flee from their homes.
It was reported that a jet fighter was seen hovering around the Letpadaung Hill copper mining project area twice on September 6 afternoon.
Last September 4, an unknown group attacked the mentioned copper mining project area with a drone. During the attack, the Chinese workers’ lounge and the gym were damaged.
