MON STATE – According to local residents and the Tapin Shwe Htee column, Than Naing from Thaton Township, who was spying military information for the junta council in the KNU Brigade 1 area of the Karen National Union, was shot and killed on his way back from a Mohinga (Myanmar fish noodle) shop.
It is reported that military intelligence pillar Than Naing was shot three times when he was returning from the Mohinga Shop at Taigauk cross section, Kyokkaw Ward, Suvannawati City, Thaton Township, on November 30 at 9:30 a.m., and died on the spot.
“Before he got into the car, he was shot three times from a motorcycle straight ahead. He was hit in the chest and died on the spot,” a local resident said.
In the statement of the Tapin Shwe Htee Column, it was reported that Than Naing, who works for the junta’s intelligence and an important supporter of the junta council for military matters, was killed on the spot after being shot with five bullets by HRS Urban Guerrilla Team, 3rd Company, the 2nd Battalion of the KNU/KNLA 1st Brigade.
