MANDALAY DIVISION – According to the local revolutionary forces, fighting has been going on until November 18th in Myingyan township, Mandalay Division and the revolutionary groups have been forced to withdraw from 3 villages.
The battle began on the night of November 11th after the arming ceremony for the Pyu Saw Htee groups on the 15th Light Infantry Battalion and after the soldiers of the junta council started manoeuvring to Ku village, south of Myingyan.
It is said that the villages of Ku and Kun Seik, which are 4 miles south of Myingyan, were withdrawn on November 13th, and Chay Hsay village was withdrawn today. Those villages are said to be villages that the revolutionary forces can dominate.
After entering the village of Kuywa, the revolutionary forces resisted from the side of Kun Seik village, and the forces had to retreat due to continuous bombing by planes by the junta council.
“The army came in with everything, only armor vehicles left.” said Myingyan Black Tiger group leader Capt. Mike Khe.
The airstrike and the casualties during the battle are still being investigated.
The junta council soldiers who entered as the column also clashed with the revolutionary forces starting on November 15th, in the Thae Taw Village and Khin Makan village, at the eastern part of Myingyan and it is said that the column is still there.
