SAGAING DIVISION – Local news source said that the terrorist junta army carried out offensive attacks and set the whole Si Par Village in Budalin Township on fire.
Starting at around 9:00 a.m., on October 17, the terrorist junta forces burned and destroyed Si Par Village in Budalin Township, and that junta column was said to be from the Monywa based North Western Command. That junta column reportedly stationed at Myauk Kyi and Tet Hlaing villages of Budalin Township, and then they marched towards Si Par Village and burned down the village.
“The junta forces are burning in the eastern and southeastern parts of Si Par Village, and we can see the smoke rising,” said a local source in Budalin.
Due to the offensives and invasion of junta troops, the people of Budalin township’s north and northwest villages were running away. It was reported that the army has cut the telecommunications to the villages where the military has invaded.
“The telecommunications have been cut off from the villages they (junta forces) are marching, so we must communicate in another way. I will get back to you when I know the details. At the moment, we only know that they are burning,” said a member of People’s Defence Force, Budalin Township.
It was reported that the military council forces that carried out offensives in Budalin Township killed at least 14 civilians and abducted around 100 people as hostages.
