MYANMAR – According to the statement of the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand, a 60-day stay permit was approved without a visa to 90 countries, including ASEAN countries, except Myanmar.
On July 15th, Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin announced that people from 90 countries, including all ASEAN countries except Myanmar, will be allowed to stay in Thailand for 60 days without a visa. Thailand is allowing this to attract foreign tourists and promote foreign businessmen with high economic potential in Thailand as the economic conditions of the country are affected by the COVID-19 epidemic and economic downturns are occurring for businesses and the tourism sector.
The 60-day permit for visitors to Thailand from 90 countries without the need for a visa will begin on July 15th. The program included 8 ASEAN member countries, leaving out only Myanmar.
