MYANMAR – Acting President of the National Unity Government – NUG Duwa Lashila warned that the country and the people will be freed from the evil military dictatorship only if the spring revolution is carried out decisively and with full force because the country under coup is in the turning point.
The Acting President warned in the cabinet meeting 29/2024 of the National Unity Government which was held on December 3.
Major ethnic armed organizations and the public as a whole have a lot of trust and hope in NUG. These trusts and expectations cannot be broken. In the current situation, there is a big change and we have reached a turning point. The Acting President said that the country and the people can be freed from the evil system of military dictatorship only if the revolutionary works are carried out decisively and fully.
The President also warned that “The Major ethnic armed organizations and the people as a whole have a lot of trust and expectations towards the National Unity Government. We cannot break these hopes and trusts. We need to show really how strongly we believe and dedicate ourselves to the current Spring Revolution. I think we should all know that the time has come for us to continue to move forward. Our national unity government has overcome this journey together. Now is a time of great change. We need to remember that there is also a turning point. Only if we do the revolutionary work decisively and with full strength. I strongly urge them to remember that the country and the public can be rescued from the evil military dictatorship.”
In addition, NUG Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than said, “The revolution has become more limited in time. Therefore, I want to encourage people to think more about the success of the revolution and make it a powerful movement. He also said that the international community needs to be careful about the elections that will be held under the leadership of Min Aung Hlaing, who is about to issue a warrant by ICC.”
” If the government that leads the movement of the revolution is strong, the revolution will benefit. Therefore, we must think about every matter that we consider to make a powerful move for the success of the revolution and since time has become more limited, I urge you to work harder on important issues that will be directly effective for the revolution and to prepare again,” NUG Prime Minister said.
The NUG Prime Minister warned that it is time for the revolutionary forces to use the case of the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Myanmar’s military leader Min Aung Hlaing as an opportunity to bring down the military group once and for all.
