SAGAING DIVISION – The junta convoy coming from Sagaing to Monywa was attacked two times between Alakappa and Wanpyae Villages in Myinmu Township, resulting in some damage, according to an official of DK PDF.
The fourth vehicle of the junta convoy coming to carry jet fuel, including 12-wheeler trucks that came to carry copper, was reportedly attacked with an improvised mine between Myinmu Town and Wanpyae Village at 3:27 p.m. on Monday (August 14). The junta soldiers were said to have fired aimlessly after being attacked.
“There were casualties and vehicle damage on the junta side. There were a lot of hidden junta sentries and we had to try very hard to carry out the attack. When we went to plant another mine, we were spotted by junta soldiers and had to return to our camp as we were fired at. Some of the batteries and improvised mines were also taken,” said the official of DK PDF.
Similarly, the same junta column was attacked with two mines between Alakappa and Wanpyae Villages at 3:37 p.m. on August 14, damaging the vehicles. The junta soldiers again fired aimlessly.
The mine attacks were carried out by Dog Killers People’s Defence Force – Myinmu (DK PDF-MMU), People’s Knight Defence Force Myinmu (PKDF MMU), Myinmu Township (west) People’s Defence Force and D.B.B.F MMU and all the members could return to their camps without casualties.
