SAGAING DIVISION – Locals reported that the terrorist junta forces of Shwe Taung Oo checkpoint in Salingyi Township reportedly abducted 15 civilians of Ma Gyi Ta Htaung Village, on September 12.
Those 15 abductees were abducted, while they were returning from Budalin Township of Monywa District, after harvesting peanuts. Residents said that it was not yet known where those abductees were being held.
“The abductees went to the Budalin area for peanuts harvesting. They were abducted at Shwe Taung Oo checkpoint on the western part of Monywa, on their way back to homes. They have not been released until today. There was no contact from them,” said a local.
Among those who were unjustly arrested by the terrorist junta forces, there were men as well as women, and the investigation was still ongoing to obtain the names of those arrested.
The military group led by Min Aung Hlaing, who is losing the war, has been arresting people without gender aggregation, at a rapid pace since last year.
