KARRENI STATE – Karenni National Defense Force KNDF announced today (September 20th) that the 31st Battalion has been expanded.
It is known that KNDF’s military strategy No. 1 expanded the formation of the 31st battalion based in Phekkon township on September 2nd.
In addition, the KNDF official also said that the junta council’s column is maneuvering in Phekkon township.
“There are things that the junta council columns are maneuvering. So that, the 31st Battalion has been formed and expanded to fill up the strength according to the area of Phekkon township,” he continued.
The No. 31 Battalion also stated that it is the battalion that will follow the KNDF’s (5) pledge of allegiance, policy statement, military acts, and rules and fight to the end to eradicate the military dictatorship with the people.
Therefore, the Karenni National Defense Force KNDF has 8 strategies, starting from Strategy No. 1 to Strategy No. 8, and has 31 battalions within three years of formation.
In addition, KNDF’s military commander, Khu Redu, said that there are more than 10,000 troops.
“Due to the maneuvering of the junta council’s army, there are clashes between Phekkon township and Pinlaung township,” said a PDF official in Phekkon township.
Taking advantage of the floods and landslides in the Karenni region, the Junta Council troops launched ground operations and fired heavy weapons to regain control of the area.
