MANDALAY DIVISION – While the civilians are facing difficulties in buying fuel in Mandalay City, the junta council’s lackeys traffic policemen has been extorting money even at the petrol station, local residents reported.
In Mandalay, buying gasoline has been difficult starting from end July, and people have to go from one petrol station to another to get it. In addition, the fascist council’s traffic policemen came near to the petrol stations and extorted money.
“They waited at the entrance of petrol station, and captured us,” said a person who queued to buy petrol.
The junta lackey groups waited and extorted money from motorcyclists near the vicinity of BOC and Denko petrol stations on 78th street, petrol station on 84th street near Man Myo market, and other petrol stations, locals explained.
The motorcyclists had to pay from 30,000 kyats to hundreds thousands kyats, and the fined (extorted) money were asked to transfer to the Kpay numbers of junta thugs’ family members, those civilians being fined said.
Therefore, in addition to facing difficulties in getting fuel, the residents said that they are worried that they will be fined.
People queuing up for gasoline are still as many as before, and the price of 92 grade gasoline is around 7,000 kyats per litre in black market.
