NORTHERN SHAN STATE – The MNDAA reported that the Deputy District Police Chief (Mr.) Hla Myo, who was injured in the Lashio Battle is recovering.
It is reported that the allied army is treating the prisoners of war who surrendered at the Lashio Battle with the utmost care. The Deputy District Police Chief Hla Myo is one of them. He was in charge of the checkpoints and security patrols in Lashio at the beginning of the resistance forces’ operation to liberate Lashio. He was on duty until July 20 and tried to flee as the fights became intense.
It is reported that he received shrapnel injury while fleeing near the school in Ward 1, and was sent to the hospital for treatment.
Min Aung Hlaing’s (coup) troops abandoned the wounded comrades and soldiers when allied resistance forces attacked the Northeast Military Headquarters in Lashio.
After the resistance forces occupied the military hospital, the low-ranked officers, soldiers, and their families were evacuated to a safe place and arranged to be treated at the hospital in the combat-free zone (rare-line).
After receiving treatment for a long time, the condition of Deputy Police Chief Hla Myo is gradually improving. Throughout the treatment period, MNDAA and allied forces treated Min Aung Hlaing’s officers and soldiers as equals and provided them with humanitarian assistance.
