KACHIN STATE – The nine civilians, seven children and two adults, who were killed during the junta air raid in Momauk Township have been identified and they were buried according to Christian traditions on November 16.
Around 4 p.m. on November 15, the terrorist junta council bombed the church at Konelaw Village in Momauk Township where internally displaced people were taking shelter although there was no battle, killing nine civilians, majority children, and injuring more than ten.
The victims killed by the junta airstrike included seven children under 13 and two adults over 30 and have been identified as follows:
- Mr. Lazum Lun Wa (36)
- Ms. Jar Mun Mai (36), a teacher
- Lazum Myo Jat Aung (13)
- Lazum Sara Sai (11)
- Lazum May Sai Pan (7)
- Lazum Sanzaung Li (4)
- Gawlu Gun Sai Maw (4)
- Lashi Sawm San (10)
- Sumlut Mong Htwel Aung (11).
The deceased victims were IDPs who fled from the battles in Momauk Township and were taking shelter at the KBC Church when the junta council bombed the church.
