SAGAING DIVISION – According to the accountable person of Dog Killers People’s Defense Force Myinmu, they (the revolutionary forces) blasted the junta council troops who left from Myinmu town to set up hidden sentry posts, two times, in Sagaing division. Due to the attacks, five junta council troops were said to have been killed and many were injured.
At around 8:15 a.m. on July 14, the revolutionary forces blasted the junta council column, which left Myinmu town. After which, they (the revolutionary forces) also opened fire on the junta council column using small arms.
In the first minefield, the revolutionary forces blasted the junta council column consisting of 20 troops that came on foot. Due to the first blast, five junta council troops were reportedly killed and seven were injured. The wounded soldiers and the dead bodies were driven back to Myinmu town by the cars after they had been shot.
Thirty minutes after the initial explosion, the revolutionary forces destroyed another column of the junta council, this one with many troops. The junta council casualties are expected but cannot be confirmed yet.
During the attack, the junta council troops fired back using heavy weapons and small arms. A back-and-forth firefight occurred as the junta council firing weapons landed near a place where the revolutionary forces’ hidden sentry posts.
The accountable person of Dog Killers People’s Defense Force, Myinmu, mentioned that “there were some losses on our side. We’ve lost batteries. Even though we’re facing many difficulties, we will continue to fight against the junta council.”
It has been reported that attacks were jointly carried out by Dog Killers People’s Defense Force Myinmu (DK PDF-Myinmu) and (U.S.A.R) People Defense Force M.M.U.
