BAGO DIVISION – According to the information officer of Pyay district People Defense Force, battalion 3601, they managed to eradicate the new ward administrative officer who took the place of Darthwaykyauk ward administrative officer who was killed in Thaekone township, Bago division.
At around 9 p.m. on July 16, Pyay district People Defense Force, battalion 3601, company 5 went to the house of the new ward administrative officer Soe Gyi and shot him dead. As a result, he (Soe Gyi) was killed on the spot. He took the place of ward administrative officer after the old ward administrative officer Kyaw Gyi was killed.
After the revolutionary forces eradicated Kyaw Gyi, the ward administrative officer of Darthwaykyauk village tract, the 100 household chief Soe Gyi took the place of the ward administrative officer. The information officer of Pyay district PDF, battalion 3601 explained that they had to eradicate the new ward administrative officer as he helped the junta council to recruit new troops, he asked the junta council troops to abduct two civilians under the accuse that two civilians supported PDF and he also inquired the information about PDF and informed to the junta council troops.
The information officer also urged the other ward administrative officers and the junta council troops to resign and surrender as much as possible as the revolutionary forces have sped up the military operations to eradicate the fascist coup council.
