SAGAING DIVISION – It is reported that the Sagaing People’s Support Network distributed rice to the residents of Sipa Village in Butalin Township who were forced to flee from the battles.
The Sagaing People’s Support Network reportedly shared 10 bags of rice with the people from Sipa Village who fled the war and needed emergency assistance. It was announced on October 22 that 120 families received the support; in the form of two Pyi of rice per household.
The assistance was offered by the “The Helpers For Spring Team” which is a member of the Sagaing People’s Support Network in charge of Butalin Township.
The junta offensives in Butalin Township have been worsening since the beginning of October. Raids and arson of villages by junta troops are still happening and more than a hundred thousand people are currently displaced, fleeing the war.
