CHIN STATE – CDF Matupi Brigade 1 announced that the six CDF soldiers who fell in Matupi battle were honoured by placing their framed photos and flower wreaths placed at the Matupi intersection on July 19, the 77th Martyrs’ Day.
Comrades Lai Than Bway, Shui Llan, Robert San, Bawza (aka) Buayar, Par Tu and Yoe Llan of CDF Matupi Brigade 1 were reported to have fallen in the Matupi battle.
Matupi was captured by the Chin Brotherhood Alliance on June 29.
Since the formation of CDF Matupi on April 10, 2021, and until the capture of Matupi on June 29, 2024, 16 comrades of CDF Matupi Brigade 1 have honourably sacrificed their lives for the sake of the people and the country.
