SAGAING DIVISION – The brutal junta army carried out airstrike attacks on four villages in Kawlin Township without any fight, injuring two people, according to locals and an official of People to People.
On September 28, at around 1:00 p.m., the junta’s Mi-35 attacked helicopter launched airstrikes on Ta Gaung Village in Kawlin Township, injuring two civilians.
“The atrocious junta army targeted the school in the village. I don’t know what news they received. There was no fight on the ground. They shoot with both rockets and machine guns. A man and a child were injured by those attacks. The man was harmed in his hand and the child was injured in his leg. Both are not in critical condition,” said a local.
The Mi-35 attacked helicopter reportedly came from 6006 Battalion of Kanbalu Township. The residential houses and school building might be damaged due to the attacks of the terrorist junta, and the residents were running away from their homes and they didn’t dare to go and see the incident place as they were worried that the junta army would come and fire one more time with the fighter jet.
Similarly, on the afternoon of September 28, the terrorist junta’s Mi-35 attacked helicopter carried out two airstrikes on the monastery in Ta Kaung Aing Village on the western part of Kawlin Township, near Oke Kan and Muu Tein villages.
It was not yet confirmed whether the people were harmed during the attack, and the damage of the houses and buildings was under confirmation.
“Currently, the Mi-35 is hovering on the western part of the township. The junta army attacked five times. The Mi-35 fired at the forest areas around Ta Kaung Aing and Oke Kan villages. Without any fighting in the western part of Kawlin, the junta army has launched airstrikes for no reason. It has been carried out five times, as for until now,” said the official of People to People of Kawlin Township.
