MAGWAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta forces of Thar Gyi Taung and Kyat Htoe police stations in Pakokku Township deserted their bases and People’s Defence Force (PDF) cleared the areas, according to an official of Pakokku People Defense Force – PPDF.
On August 22, at around 2:00 a.m., all police forces of Thar Gyi Taung police station in Pakokku Township moved to police station in Kamma Town, all police forces of Kyat Htoe police station moved to the base of Pyu Saw Htee thugs in Nyaung Gyit Pin Village. The People’s Defence Force (PDF) cleared the areas and seized rice, oil and some equipment.
“Around 30 police forces of Thar Gyi Taung police station withdrew from their base, at around 12:40 a.m., on August 22. They rejoined with the junta forces in Kamma Town. The local based Revolutionary Forces were clearing the area in the morning. They burned down the station. The police forces of Kyat Htoe police station also withdrew from their base under cover of gunfire on the morning of August 23. I heard that they would reunite with the junta forces in Nyaung Gyit Pin Village. Now, they are on their way. The local based Revolutionary Forces cleared Kyat Htoe police station like Thar Gyi Taung police station, and rice and oil were left. They took all the weapons with them,” he said.
Around 30 police forces were stationed in Thar Gyi Taung police station and around 25 police forces were stationed in Kyat Htoe police station. The police forces of the police station in Kamma Town no longer dare to go outside their base. If they want to buy things, they forcefully call people from nearby and force them to buy.
