YANGON DIVISION – American Embassy in Yangon announced that the Embassy marked the 2nd anniversary of the execution of Jimmy, Phyo Zayar Thaw, Hla Myo Aung and Aung Thu Zaw by junta.
The American Embassy marked the two-year anniversary of the execution of Jimmy, Phyo Zayar Thaw, Hla Myo Aung and Aung Thu Zaw by junta council. According to the American Embassy in Yangon, nearly 5,400 stones have been placed at the American Embassy’s memorial site to honor those who lost their lives due to the dictatorial organization.
The U.S. Embassy said in a statement that the Embassy expressed its condolences to all those who lost their lives in the conflict in Myanmar, which has been escalating since the 2021 military coup.
The terrorist council arrested Jimmy (aka) Kyaw Min Yu in October 2021 at Panglong Housing Complex in North Dagon township and Phyo Zoya Thaw (aka) Maung Kyaw was arrested on November 18, 2021 at Yadana Hninsi Housing Complex in Dagon Seikkan township and sentenced to death by a military tribunal on January 21, 2022.
On July 25, 2022, the military council announced that 4 people, including Jimmy and Phyo Zoya Thaw, had been executed.
