NAY PYI TAW – Revolutionary forces used kamikaze drones to attack the MICC 2 (Myanmar International Convention Centre) building in Nay Pyi Taw during a wedding ceremony of a descendant of junta generals, and there were casualties of junta forces guarding the ceremony.
The attack happened around 9:45 a.m. on November 25, reportedly targeting the junta soldiers and police guarding the ceremony.
“Nearby residents reported hearing sounds of explosions from MICC 2 yesterday (November 25) around 10 a.m.
Because the junta council covered up the news, it is hard to find out the details but we heard that some soldiers and police were hit. There could be casualties,” reported a news source.
Junta lobby channels on Telegram posted that a drone crashed into the housings of directors in Zaya Theiddi Ward of Zabhu Thiri Ward around 10:30 a.m. on November 25.
“There was no explosive attached to the drone. It was just debris. It might have bombed MICC 2 then crashed over here,” continued the news source.
MICC 2 is a site of state-level events held by the junta council and there are no news releases regarding this attack.
Ayelar Air Base in Nay Pyi Taw was similarly attacked with kamikaze drones on November 5, but the junta council covered up news of the damage.
