CENTRAL MYANMAR – At Yaytarshay, Bago Division, and Phuy and Thahtone Townships, Mon State, three people were reportedly killed by the army’s firing. The Junta army has continuously been planting landmines in those areas, the NUG Southern Military District reported.
According to the information obtained from the People’s Defense Army, Southern Military Region, three innocent civilians were killed, 3 children, including 13-year-old girl Chit Sabai, and 18 people were injured during the offensive attacks and heavy weapon fire by the military council and its affiliates in the past 7 days.
The number of people detained by the junta army reached 91. Many houses, stables, and motorcycles were also damaged, and cattle were also reportedly killed.
In Bago Division, Yaytarshae Township, Lonyan village group, Kwaekawpin Village, a 22-year-old woman died when a shell fired by the military council exploded in the village. Similarly, in Layaeinsu village, Phyu Township, a woman was killed by a heavy weapon, summing up the total of two being killed by the junta’s heavy weapon fire.
Similarly, in Mon State, Thahtone Township, Litthin Village, the army of the military council opened fire on two youths on suspicion, one of them was killed on the spot.
In addition, terrorist military council troops reportedly entered farmland, where the civilians work, and planted land mines. There are frequent landmine accidents, and the local people are frightened.
