SAGAING DIVISION – According to the Defender Of Our Motherland force, the revolutionary alliance forces attacked Tawpu village, a strong Pyu Saw Htee village, which is located on the side of Monywa-Amyint road for two consecutive days, on November 5 and 6, in Monywa district, Sagaing division.
It has been reported that while they (the revolutionary alliance forces) were attacking Tawpu village where more than 50 Pyu Saw Htee militants were stationed using drones, heavy weapons and small arms for two consecutive days, they also had to set up hidden sentry posts in case of the junta council reinforcement from Nyaung Phyu Pin police station where around 50 junta council soldiers and police were stationed.
Comrade James, the information officer of the Strategic Column 48, battalion 3, company 3 under Defender Of Our Motherland force mentioned that on November 6, the 2nd day of the attacks, the junta council servants from Nyaung Phyu Pin police station left the police station to reinforce the Pyu Saw Htee militants. As the revolutionary scouts could manage to intercept them (the junta council servants), three junta council servants were said to have been killed.
Even though Pyu Saw Htee militants from Tawpu village fired back using 60 mm motors and the junta council police from the police station reinforced using machine guns, the revolutionary alliance forces managed to retreat successfully.
That attacks were jointly carried out by Yinmabin district battalion 3,4,5, the Strategic Column 48, battalion 3, company 3 under Defender Of Our Motherland force and 5/ Fighter Group.
