SAGAING DIVISION – Information Officer Mr.Sanay from Yinmabin District Battalion 16 reported that three junta policemen deployed at Wanbao Company at Salingyi Township came into legal fold along with a gun.
Three policemen, Win Min Thu, Sein Mg Mg, Min Khant Thu from No (28) police force of junta council, contacted Brother Defence Force of Yinmabin District Battalion 16, company 1 on early morning of July 30, around 1:15 a.m. and defected.
“They are from the police force No (28), and on duty at Wanbao company. Everything went smooth when we went to pick them up. Three of them are friends, from same batch. When they fled, one of them was on duty to guard, the other two couldn’t bring along their weapons. Since there have been many junta members who joined CDM, weapons are given only when they are on duty. No weapon is given to any police unless on duty.” said the information Officer from Battalion 16 of Yinmabin District.
The three junta polices who came into legal fold brought along 1 G3 gun, 100 rounds of 7.62 ammunition, 2 magazines, and 3 mobile phones. They are sent to a safe place and the Yinmabin battalion is preparing to award them.
“There is a plan to honor them for coming into legal fold with weapons like this. However, since our battalion commander is in the front line, we will be able to determine when he arrives. We’d like to welcome those who want to come into legal fold at any time. We don’t do things like ‘if you go out, they will take your weapons and kill you’ as is propagated in their terrorist army. In our battalion, there are already 7 CDM policemen,” said Mr.Sanay.
The Battalion 16 of Yinmabin District has requested the public to help the CDM heroes as much as possible who came and join the side of the people.
