MANDALAY DIVISION – One of the officials from the battalion based in Mogoke stated that People Defence Force (PDF) intercepted and attacked with landmines onto three junta’s military vehicles, departed from Mandalay to Mogoke for reinforcing, near Gwayt Gyi Village along Mandalay-Mogoke Road, Mogoke Township, Mandalay Division, resulting in at least 20 junta thugs dead on Monday (September 18) at around 6:00 a.m.
In addition to the attack, one of the junta’s military vehicles got RPG shot, another stepped on four landmines and the third one hit by bomb shrapnel. The eight junta thugs on the vehicles died at the spot due to the attack and at least 20 junta thugs were said to be eliminated during the resumed assault.
“That happened near Gwayt Gyi. That clash was not taken so long. Two junta’s military vehicles have continued heading toward Mogoke. Those vehicles hit by landmines and PRG, left behind at the battle scene,” an official of PDF battalion based in Mogoke said.
The stated attack was said to be carried out with the cooperation of comrades from PDF battalions 1221 and 1223 as Moe Lone Mhaing Mission and comrades could retreat without any harm.
