SHAN STATE – Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) completely captured the junta’s Byuharkone (strategic outpost) in Mongmit Town, on July 31, according to Lway Ye Oo, the spokeswoman of TNLA.
TNLA started its offensive attacks on junta’s Byuharkone (strategic outpost) in Mongmit Town, on July 24, and acquired it a week later.
“Today (on July 31), we were able to capture the junta’s strategic outpost and all other military bases in Mongmit Town. In addition to Mongmit, the fights were fierce in Light Infantry Battalion – 501 and 502 in Kyaukme Township,” said Lway Ye Oo.
TNLA and allied forces started the Operations 1027 part (2) on June 25, and captured Nawnghkio Town on July 10, Mogoke Town on July 24 and Mongmit Town on July 31.
The TNLA and joint forces have also deployed in Kyaukme Town and were continuing to attack the remaining military bases.
Those three towns were completely captured by the TNLA joint forces, despite the junta’s resistance by airstrike and artillery attacks.
