MAGWAY DIVISION- On September 22, the Gantgaw District Battalion announced that five PDF battalions in the district have started training together.
The Gantgaw No. 13, 15, 16, 17, and 18 battalions have started training together since July 24, 2024, to strengthen the collaborative skills among regional revolutionary forces and be more compact in formation.
During this training period, resistance forces are militarily active in the Htilin and Saw region. The NUG Ministry of Defense issued a budget through the district command group, stated the leader of the training.
NUG MOD officials, including Dr. Tayzar San, visited the combined training ground of the five PDF battalions and spoke to the soldiers. He said that the NUG officials also discussed the work to be done to give the soldiers strength and support.
In addition, during the training period, three soldiers of the military council joined the CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) with weapons and ammunition. These junta soldiers were reportedly rewarded and kept in a safe place.
