MANDALAY DIVISION – Local residents of Mogok reported that the terrorist army fired heavy weapons into the eastern part of Mogok Town which resulted in killing two civilians. In addition, as the junta army cut off the flow of goods, thousands of civilians were queuing to receive the rice packets distributed by donors.
On July 13, a large weapon fired by the terrorist army exploded next to the mother and child care department near the hospital in eastern Mogok. In addition, the shellings at Min Bridge (West exit) and Wet Kone (West exit) killed two people.
“Today (July 13), a heavy weapon fired by the junta army exploded next to the department of mother and child care near the hospital in eastern Mogok. It fell on civilian homes. However, since the people were in a bomb shelter, they luckily did not get hurt. But the heavy weapons hit and killed one woman in her 40s at Min Bridge (West exit) and one young man at Wet Kone (West exit),” said a local resident.
In addition, as the terrorist army has cut off the flow of goods to Mogok, thousands of people were reportedly waiting in line to receive rice distributed by donors.
“The flow of goods is interrupted because the fascist junta council has blocked the road. Local residents started queuing up since 3 a.m. to receive rice from donors. Civilians are worried of starving than being killed as the place where thousands of people were queuing was the place where the battle took place on the night before. For some, they have no more rice to eat, and they are no longer afraid of death. Junta army battalion 148 blocked the Mogok-Mandalay road exit so civilians are in trouble,” said a local resident.
