BAGO DIVISION – An official from Nattalin Township People’s Defence Force – Phoenix DF reported that two junta forces including a lieutenant were killed after a motorcycle convoy of the terrorist junta soldiers and police was attacked twice in Nattalin Township.
At 9:05 a.m. on October 28, 24 junta soldiers and police came out of Damange Village in Nattalin Township on 12 motorcycles joined up with ten junta soldiers and police that came out of Magyeepin Village on five motorcycles at Ohbokone Village around 9:15 a.m.
After that, the ten junta soldiers and police returned to Magyeepin Village on five motorcycles, and they were attacked by defence forces near the pagoda hill close to the village. The mine attack attracted the junta forces left behind in Ohbokone Village that came out in 12 motorcycles and were attacked again with remaining mines at the same place.
“They were not out for patrol. We think they met up to transfer goods. Because the 12 motorcycles from Damange met the five from Magyeepin at Ohbokone when there was a police outpost at Damange and a junta outpost at Magyeepin. Our comrades were all able to retreat unharmed,” said the official from Phoenix DF.
During the two mine attacks, a junta lieutenant and a police were said to have been killed, while one more was heavily injured. The dead and the injured were reportedly picked up by a police car and two ambulances that came from Nattalin.
The attack was carried out by Tharyarwaddy District Battalion 3801 Company 2 (Phoenix DF) and the defence force informed that they would attack the terrorist junta soldiers, police, Pyu Saw Htee militant
