MAGWAY DIVISION – The junta council’s infantry battalion 252 in Pakokku was attacked and two junta soldiers were killed, according to Bo. Cartoon, an official from Burma Revolution Rangers.
Revolutionary forces opened fire into infantry 252 battalion and the gate around 2:30 p.m. on December 18, killing a corporal and a soldier and injuring two more.
“There were two guarding the battalion gate. We saw a corporal falling to his death. The attack only lasted around five minutes. A squadron fired 60mm shells into the battalion and killed a junta soldier. The exchange of fire at the gate resulted in the death of one of our soldiers and another was injured. As it was an urban mission and because the target was a battalion base, we didn’t have much time. No reinforcement came out of the battalion but there were reinforcements from nearby battalions and Pyu Saw Htee bases,” said Bo. Cartoon.
The attack was carried out by Burma Revolution Rangers, Company 1 Squad 1 of Pakokku Township People’s Defence Force.
