SAGAING DIVISION- An official from the Anti-Dictatorship People Revolutionary Army (ADPRA) told the media that two policemen were killed and 2 guns were seized when they came out for patrol from Myoma police station in Depayin Township.
On July 16, at around 7:45 a.m., the revolutionary forces attacked the terrorist military council troops coming out from the Depayin police station. The fight lasted for about 30 minutes. Two junta affiliates including an administrative officer were reportedly killed and one seriously injured during the attack. Two carbine guns were confiscated by the People’s Defense Joint Forces and reportedly withdrew successfully.
“ They came out from the township police station towards their hidden sentry. We waited and attacked them at the gate of the police station. In fact, we were so close to the station that the first three people who came out up front were shot. There were about 20 people going towards the sentry but we shot as soon as they came out and only the first three people entered the shooting range. Three including an administrator were killed and we were able to pick two carbine guns. Since we were so close to the police station, it was a challenging shoot-out,” said an official from ADPRA.
The attack was led by the force formation and training team of Depayin Township People’s Defense Organization, PDF battalion 1,2,3 with the alliance of Ye Oo PDF (Galaxy Force) and Phoenix Division, Yinmarpin Battalion 30 (ADPRA), and the Yan Gyi Aung LDF.
