SAGAING DIVISION – A local news source stated that the Military Council is carrying out aerial attacks with two military helicopters at and around Depayin Town, Sagaing.
At around 2:30 p.m. on October 5, the Military Council Army carried out an air attack with two Mi-35 helicopters on Depayin town and its surroundings. The military lobbies were spreading the news about the PDFs attacking the town, resulting in such aerial attacks without an ongoing fight.
“The military lobbies report that PDFs were coming to Depayin town and thus junta launched the aerial attack. Actually, there aren’t any PDF forces near the town. It is not yet known if there is any damage or causalities on the local people. I bet anyone is residing there,” said a local news source.
On August 18, revolutionary forces, including the People’s Defense Forces, attacked and captured Depayin Town and had to retreat on the same day when the military council forces reinforced and counter-attacked. Since that time, the locals had to flee the town.
