YANGON DIVISION – An official from Shadow SAF team reported that the junta council’s Mingaladon Air Base was attacked with three missiles in response to the junta forces blocking and extorting the civilians, especially young people, who are leaving the country at the Yangon International Airport.
Around 11:40 p.m. on November 5, the terrorist junta council’s Air Defense Force and the Air Base in Mingaladon Township were attacked with three upgraded missiles as the junta council and its subordinates are based at the Yangon International Airport have been causing trouble for the people, extorting the people leaving the country, unable to bear with the oppressions of the junta regime, using various reasons to turn the people back at the airport after MAI and other airlines have overbooked the flights, and the junta regime and its pillar businesses scamming the people at the airport, according to the complaints from the people.
“Young people are blocked from leaving the country at the airport. Instead they started a VIP service demanding 60 lakhs from those who wish to leave the country. They would also collude with the airlines including MAI and sell 300 tickets for a flight that only has capacity for 100 passengers then turn back the rest of the passengers. Around 70% of the young people are turned back at the airport. That’s why we carried out the attack,” said the official from Shadow SAF.
Shadow SAF stated that it will continue to attack any organisation that support and assist the junta council and that it will not collect donations using the attack on the junta air base. The team also thanked all individuals and groups that trusted and supported them.
Residents living near the Mingaladon Air Base also confirmed that a loud explosion followed by a couple more explosions were heard around 11:40 p.m. on November 5th night and reported that junta soldiers and police blocked the roads and conducted searches afterwards.
