KARENNI STATE – Karenni based Warazein Team has successfully designed a drone that can bypass jammers, according to officials.
It is said that the drones passed the test flights using the jammers confiscated from the junta council forces.
“We are designing drones that can fly about 300 to 500 m above the enemy jammers. We already have test models, titled Phase 2 and Phase 3. We have achieved the stage of being able to use within the frequency hooping. If we reach Phase 3, it will be a more upgraded version that can work on a navigation system without relying on GPS,” explained an official from Warazein Team.
The necessary components for the drone have to be imported and the cost for each drone is reportedly between 1,300 and 1,500 USD.
As Warazein Team is made up of engineers and IT experts, it has a strong technological team and has also formed combat teams.
“For a single drone, ignoring the current situation, the components have to be purchased overseas. There are components that are purchased from faraway places. Most components cannot be procured locally. With that kind of components, each drone costs up to six million Kyats. We have already manufactured those models. We are considering to publish it after preparing this,” said the official of Warazein Team.
The resistance forces are developing drones that can bypass jammers as the junta forces deployed jammers to defend against drones during the battles in Lashio and Loikaw.
Warazein Team was formed with the goal of eradicating military dictatorship and building a federal union. Although the team is currently active in Karenni State, it plans to expand its operations to the plains in the future.
