SAGAING DIVISION – One of the members of the information team from Dictatorship Revolution People’s Army (DRPA), comrade Nyo Min stated that DRPA Battalion B-30 of Yinmabin District and around 17 of the junta police force engaged in a clash at Thone Daunt Kyun Gyobinhla, Ward 3, Kani Township on Monday (June 19) at around 7 a.m. after the resistance forces ambushed while the junta police were patrolling.
The stated clash was said to last for over one hour and DRPA could eliminate three junta thugs and confiscate one G3 rifle, 90 G3 bullets, three bullet boxes, one mobile phone, one walkie talkie, documents, 2 lakhs MMK and two bulletproof vests.
“The junta police ran into the military column of DRPA B-30 while patrolling. We could confiscate stuff from one of the dead junta troop who couldn’t be carried away. As the other two dead bodies were far away from us, they were carried back. Two more junta police reportedly died at the hospital last (June 19) night. There was no harm to the DRPA comrades during the clash,” comrade Nyo Min said.
Subsequently, after those junta police returned to the town, the junta troops in Kani Township fired heavy artillery towards Yar Gyi Village, not related with the battle, which resulted in one civilian death, and one recrived injuries.
DRPA also declared that they feel sorry for how civilians suffered due to the junta council’s attack onto the innocent civilians, and they will put effort until the victory of the revolution.
Similarly, since the junta’s North Western Command (NWC) from Monywa Town committed airstrikes with MI35 choppers onto the villages near 29/30 mile along Monywa-Yar Gyi-Kalewa Road, Kani Township, one civilian suffered injuries and many houses and shops weredamaged.
