BAGO DIVISION – It’s been reported that two youths in Kawa Township, Bago were arrested on April 17 and there has been no contact even on Saturday (May 6).
The two arrested are 25-year-olds Mr. Khant Oo Ko and Mr. Phyo Wai Kyaw from Ward No. 1 and Ward No. 3. The junta council arrested them at Mudu Village in Kawa Township, said a local news source.
“They were arrested when they arrived at Mudu Village and were sent to an interrogation center. The reason why they were arrested is still unknown and contact has been lost since. Their family members are also worried that something will happen,” he said.
After arresting the two youths, the junta council reportedly took them to Thetkala Police Station and they were then sent to the interrogation centre at junta division 77 in Bago and their family members have lost all contact.
In addition to Mr. Kyaw Oo Ko and Mr. Phyo Wai Kyaw, six local men from Mudu Village were also abducted by the junta council on the same day (April 27).
