YANGON DIVISION – Two junta subsidiaries, Innwa Bank and a Myanma Economic Corporation (MEC) store at gate no. 3 of Hteetan Upine fuel tank on Kannar Road in Kyimyindaing Township were remotely detonated, according to an official from KMD18 Hunter Unit.
The MEC store and Inwa Bank were detonated with remote mines at 5:15 a.m. on September 23 by Nway Oo Mone Tine Team of KMD18 Hunter Unit and the details of the damages were being investigated, said the official.
“It’s true that an explosion went off past 5 a.m. Because it was in the early morning, the entire Kyimyindaing Township heard the explosion, the bomb blast,” confirmed a resident of Kyimyindaing Township.
The official from KMD 18 Hunter Unit stated that this operation was intended to cut off the income of the terrorist junta council that has been misappropriating the finances of the people and oppressing and murdering the people, adding that the members who carried out the operation has arrived to safety. The official also requested the people to avoid the bases, bunkers and patrol cars of the terrorist junta council.
