KAREN STATE – On August 24, the Quilong Tai military camp, which had about 30 terrorist soldiers stationed in the township of Kyainseikgyi, Karen National Union (KNU) 6th Brigade, was attacked.
On September 6, the junta council column with 100 soldiers sent to reinforce from the Thailand side with weapons, ammunition, and food to prevent the loss of the Quilong Tai base were attacked.
From August 24 to September 14, during more than 20 days of fighting, the Cloud Wings drone force dropped more than 200 bombs, such as 107 mm, 81 mm and 60 mm shells, and flew hundreds of times.
In these battles, from the side of the Junta Council, the battalion under the Southeast Regional Military Command, Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 339, LIB 561 and LIB 557 participated in the attack and also provided air support. During the battle, at least 10 enemy military council soldiers were killed and many were wounded.
It was reported through the locals that the injured military council soldiers were taken by cars through the Thailand side, and the dead were thrown into Haungtharaw River.
Under the leadership of the KNLA (Karen National Liberation Army), Special Operations Forces-SOF and with the allied forces, the Cloud Wings jointly performed the operations, according to Ko Nyein, the person in charge of cloud wings.
