SHAN STATE: On January 7, the junta’s council is known to be intensifying the airstrike to Kutkai on Union road, northern Shan state, as said by the local people.
“Since 2 p.m. on January 7, the junta’s council is reportedly dropping bombs by two planes to the tactical hill,” as said by a local resident.
He continued that around 11:45 a.m. on January 7 the junta’s forces were also seen dropping bombs by jet fighter.
“The plane taking off at 2:12 p.m. dropped bombs in Kutkai at around 2:30 p.m. Afterwards, two jet fighters were seen taking off, altogether there were three jets. Y-12 was also known to be dropping bombs in Kutkai,” as said by another local woman.
A cloud of smoke was seen flying from Kutkai No(1) ward, as said by the local people.
The discussion between the junta’s forces in Kutkai and TNLA was heard. On the night of January 6, the members of junta’s forces were seen carrying by about 40 cars by the members of TNLA from Kalai road, as said by a local resident.
Since December 31, there have been ongoing battles between the junta’s forces and TNLA Alliance Forces in Kutkai.
